3 Ways To Style Trainers

We all love a classic pair of trainers, and let’s be honest, we all have at least one pair in our wardrobes that we don’t wear as much as we would like as we’re unsure how to style them. Whether it’s a pair that was intended for activity, or just a basic fashion trainer, we are here to write about our three favourite ways to style trainers of all kinds.

Style One: Casual & Classic

Our first style will give you a classic and casual look and will look great on everyone. This look would work with any trainer but we would suggest a slightly chunkier one to really show them off. Start off with a basic top or jumper such as one of our Fenella knits or Masai Cilla Tops and pair up with some skinny jeans like our Foil Denim Daze Jean or Robell Star design jeans. Pick a trainer similar to our Ash Tiger Trainer Shoe or our Kennel Und Schmenger Ultra Suede Trainer Shoe and you have a look! Accessorize lightly with a fine jewellery piece from Ania Haie and perhaps an Inyati backpack.

Style 2: Dress To Impress

This second style is going to be slightly more dressy, giving you an on trend casual look and is perfect for off duty activities. This look will match nicely with your simple pump style trainers. Start off with a midi day dress like out Mercy Delta Rosedene dress or Foil Switching Sides Dress. Pop on your pump trainers similar to our Superga 2570 Efglu’s or our Ash Cult Trainer Shoe. Accessorize with a cross-body bag like our Bell & Fox Marlo Mini Square Bag and you’re ready! You’ll find that that wearing a flat trainer with your midaxi dress will really give you an effortless and flattering look.

Style 3: The Girl Boss

Our final style is a style that you can wear out for brunch with your girlfriends, or even to your office job… Yes, that’s right, trainers can be dressed up for work too! Start with a simple trainer such as our Eljay Cambridge Trainer Shoe or our Hogl Andrea Trainer Shoe. You don’t want anything too colourful or out there as the rest of your outfit is going to take the lead. We’re going to style up with our matching Robell suit which is every girls dream. If you are heading for work with this outfit, we suggest something smart and basic to wear under your suit such as our Masai Cream Basic Top. Alternatively, if you are out and about with friends then why not dress this outfit down a bit with a looser fitting top like our Chalk Tasha Top. Finally, pair with our Inyati Inita Top Handle Bag for work or our Bill Skinner Emma Bee Bag for casual trips.
