Mama B uses a relaxed, oversized fit designed for effortless layering. We recommend sticking to your usual size for a loose, draped look. However, if you prefer a more regular fit, some styles you may wish to go down a size.  Each product page includes fit notes and model information to help you choose confidently. 

Some styles are one size - with a loose fit design, in the typical Mama B asthetic. 

Styles that usually come up neater for a more regular fit are the Mama B skirts and trousers, usually with an elasticated waistband.

Mama B primarily uses cotton, linen, and viscose blends — all soft, breathable, and made to last. The materials are chosen for comfort, sustainability, and Italian quality. See individual product composition and care details. 

Care varies by fabric: 

• Cotton/fleece: Machine wash at 30 °C or cold hand wash; reshape damp and dry flat; iron inside out  
• Linen: Machine wash low spin at 30 °C or gentle hand wash; air dry; steam or iron to remove creases  
• Special fabrics (velvet, jacquard coats): Dry clean only
