Masai Newness for January

Fall in love with the palette of the season just like we did when hand-selecting the latest pieces from Masai’s New Collection. The cool colour palette perfectly blends neutrals and blues, oozing simplicity and calmness. The perfect transitional collection during this ‘in-between period’ offering cosy and stylish knits for you to cocoon yourself in, not forgetting those unique and handcrafted prints on treasured classics like the MaNamo Dress and MaGertine Tunic.’ - Donna, Ecommerce & Buying Manager.

The collection allows you to embrace the fresh pastel tones in cosy knit fabrics designed for the coolness of winter, on the anticipated cusp of spring. The contrast of Ashley blue, maritime blue, coffee bean and classic monochrome shades combine to create a transitional yet diverse collection.

What Masai say:

‘Between Winter and Spring is a period of anticipated waiting. Where we long for Spring, while still enjoy the serenity of winter. This calls for simplicity, and the inner world seems to draw us into a calm expectancy. This collection is a delicate, cocooning affair, designed to press pause before the joy of spring’.

60% of the collection is certified or produced more responsibly. Some styles have been crafted in FSC-certified viscose, BCI Cotton and RWS (responsible wool).

The collection:

Ashley Blues

Masai has crafted staple knit styles like MaFosna and MaFanasi in this fresh new hue, as well as new stylish pieces such as the MaFrankie chunky knit, which is a definite winter warmer.

The shade is also featured in a Steel Grey abstract painted print, which has an airy and feminine feel. Style the hue with a neutral trouser such as the MaPaba Whitecap Pointe Roma Trouser to complete the light look.

A Gemini Woman favourite is the MaLuz Oversized Stripe Knit Cardigan, crafted in a luxurious mohair and wool blend with Ashley blue trims on the cuffs and hemline. This cardigan provides a way to sport this season’s shade in a more understated fashion. Style layered over a top or a lightweight knit alongside the MaPaulo Jean

Maritime Blues

This classic shade already runs throughout the Masai Basic and main collections, the perfect navy blue and a solid transitional shade. Layer up existing Masai pieces such as the MaTasha Wool Coat on top of the stylish MaBrooklyn Polo Neck Top, which features a maritime blue abstract print with small flecks of Ashley blue and coffee bean. This deeper tone allows you to ease into transitional dressing and compliments the darker winter tones you still may wish to sport on the gloomier days.

-Pair with some classic navy jeans or trousers from Robell, such as the Bella 09 Navy Ankle Length Trouser

Coffee bean

Subtly embrace animal print in these two coffee bean abstract-print dresses. This shade is a soft alternative to wearing black during transitional periods. The MaNikkini Printed Shirt Dress is a flattering A-shape midi dress crafted in a soft and floaty viscose-nylon blend. Our sales stylist Liz’s favourite piece from the collection is the MaNazli Wool Blend Animal Print Dress, it is soft to the touch and its straight silhouette offers a comfortable and slender fit.

For a monochrome look, style with the Gari Western Boot from Marco Tozzi, or the cosy Coby Supersoft Scarf in Dark Chocolate.
