Victoria Trainers SS23

Victoria Trainers was founded in La Rioja in Spain over 100 years ago, and their operations still mostly reside within the country despite growing the brand to a global level, not to mention their products are still all handmade! The brand’s name was created when co-founder Gregorio named the first pair of plimsolls he designed after his first love and wife Victoria and the name stuck – a true love story that has inspired the ethos of the brand and the footwear they produce! Gemini Woman have stocked Victoria trainers for the last 3 years and their newest collection is to die for, combining timeless silhouettes and materials with new fun colours, all the while increasing the sustainability of their pieces.

Within their new collection you will find that Victoria have made multiple adaptations as part of their Dear World project, which is a long-term stance in which they will make their processes and raw materials as sustainable as possible. From organic cotton that has been locally sourced, DREC eco-cotton that has been recycled, to PVC soles that have been crafted using vegetable oils as opposed to mineral oils to make them more biodegradable, Victoria have reached milestones and will continue to hit more in the future to make their operations as environmentally friendly as they can.

The collection -

As the title suggests, Victoria have updated their classic plimsoll silhouette. The new design has a thicker sole to give some added height and the upper and lining have been crafted in organic and recycled dyeable eco-cotton. The PVC sole has been crafted using vegetable oils instead of mineral oils too making them more biodegradable. A great aspect about these trainers is that they are machine washable! The Re-Edit Sneaker is available in 4 colours; Empolvado Pink, Nube Blue, Blanco White and Aguacate Avocado.

These trainers would complete any off-duty look, combining comfort and style to create a sporty, modern trainer. The trainers have been crafted in a mix of nylon and split-leather textile, and an EVA + rubber sole! Pair with wide leg trousers and a t-shirt for a timeless sports-chic look. The Astro Trainer comes in Rosa and Jeans

Feel pretty in pastels in this fun take on the popular Madrid silhouette, with split leather pastel panelling and a faux white leather upper, these trainers are a durable piece perfect for summer dopamine dressing. The PVC sole has been crafted in vegetable oils as opposed to mineral oils to make them more biodegradable.

Another fun take on the flattering Madrid silhouette is this silver metal design. Your feet will be shining with the crackle effect silver V logo, and sparkle back detail! The upper has been crafted in Cowhide leather with silver medal in the LWG certification (Leather Working Group), textile and synthetic and the PVC sole has been made using vegetable oils as opposed to mineral oils.

Perfect for summer, the Madrid styles have a perforated upper for added breathability and are extremely lightweight. The detail is in the V logo in a powder blue, and the bright orange contrast back detail. The trainer has been crafted in a blend of synthetic and split leather, and the same vegetable oil composed PVC sole.
