Masai Spring 2023 Collection

Year in and year out, Masai provide beautiful collections across the seasons with unforgettable prints, beautiful colour palettes and fabric choices that are good for our skin, and the planet. We are so excited for you to see the full Masai Spring 2023 collection, and with a lot of it already available online and in-store, we wanted to break down each of the key themes within the collection and Masai’s inspiration for them! There may even be a few sneak peeks at future products coming in soon...

‘The sailor’

As Masai are based in Copenhagen by the ocean, the salty Spring air coming in through their windows inspired this part of their collection and it is indicative of Danish Spring time. The collection features some beautiful viscose floral prints, stripes and abstract prints. The colour palette is very nautical with navy blues, reds, creams, and the occasional pop of powder blue and brown. Alongside this, some Masai basics such as the Piri Essential Culotte and the Fanasi Knit Jumper have been designed to match with the palette in the new colour ‘Goji Berry’. This wearable colour palette can also be paired with key Masai silhouettes such as the Prisca trousers and the Fosna jumper.

'The Tailor’

The attention to detail, the fit, and the finish of the garments summarise the next part of the collection. Combining feminine snug fits with modern, abstract patterns make for the perfect piece of clothing, such as the Drisa Top in Goblin blue. The colour palette is pink, ‘jadeite’ green, blue, cream, brown and black. The three prints in the tailor collection are polka dot, ditsy floral, and block colour. A key piece for the season is the Nalo Dress in Zephyr pink, a beautiful pink midi dress with beautiful balloon sleeves and pleat detailing, for a fall that is flattering on all body types. Masai describes this part of the collection as ‘Pretty in pastels, pinks and prints’ and they say that combining a pink piece such as the Zephyr Nalo Dress with a print such as polka dots with the Alo scarf in Whitecap creates a ‘wearable elegance’.

‘The Alchemist’

This part of the collection is dedicated to ‘the Alchemist’ as they are dedicated to transforming ideas and items into different states and Spring is often viewed as a time for change and new beginnings. Masai wants to embrace new ideas and surprises and invite you to ‘be part of the quest’ and find something inspiring as we enter Spring. The colour palette is the most varied of the collection, including, bright blue, orange, lime green and red, seemingly clashing colours yet they work so well together to create some beautiful abstract patterns. This part of the collection is yet to come and we are excited for you to see these bright and wonderful pieces!

Blues

Not a Masai theme, but we can't ignore the prevalence of blue in their new collection, and neither should you! Beautiful shades of blue, both light and dark feature across the board this Spring and we can't get enough of the different hues and patterns! Why not try a monochromatic look with some of the new pieces by pairing navy trousers with a blue print top?
