Are you too old to wear a miniskirt?
Young women just love this season's miniskirts - but so do their mothers!
A survey published by Debenhams this month has revealed that women are clinging on to their mini skirts for longer! Where once we would take cover in demure knee-lengths during our early thirties now we are strutting our luscious legs throughout our 40's!
So does this mean that we should all throw caution to the wind, ignore what our mothers told us about our hemlines and embrace the desire to don a mini skirt?
We got chatting to the staff and customers here at Gemini and the general consensus was that it is all about 'how you wear it', regardless of what age you are. So we have come up with the three main do's and don'ts to wearing the mini skirt this Autumn/Winter.
DON'T...
team your mini skirt with a revealing top. No matter how tempted you are to wear a plunging neckline, DON'T - instead team with a luxe knit, this will help create a demure office look and avoid a 'working girl' look!
DO...
team your mini skirt with leggings and boots. For those of us who are not as confident with bearing all, leggings and boots are an easy way to wear the mini skirt and was a look that was seen all over the AW10 catwalks.
DON'T...
wear a mini skirt if you dont feel confident. It's true, looking good comes from within and if you dont feel confident in your mini skirt then people will know!
